Call for Papers

What: 2026 Tennessee Occupational Therapy Association (TNOTA) Conference 

When: September 19-20, 2026

*Pre-conference is Friday, September 18, 2026.

Where: Scarritt Bennett Center (Nashville, TN) 

Deadline for submission: May 15, 2026

Instructions for Submission:

  • Proposal applications must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. CDT on May 15, 2026.
  • If you wish to present more than one session, you must submit multiple applications.
  • Complete all sections of the application. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
  • You will be asked to identify which type of session you wish to present: poster, short course, or workshop. (See the description for each type of session within the application.)
  • If any presenters require special accommodations please email that information to conferencecommittee@tnota.org

  • By submitting an application, you agree to the policies established by TNOTA as listed below:

Policies Governing Accepted Proposals

  1. Once a proposal is accepted, changes to the proposal are not allowed without written approval from the Conference Planning Committee.
  2. TNOTA reserves the right to assign the day and time that accepted proposals are scheduled. 
  3. All OT practitioners presenting and OT/OTA student speakers whose proposals are accepted must register for at least one day of the conference.  Accepted speakers are given a discounted rate to the conference. Practitioners will be given 50% off registration, limit 2 speaker discounts per proposal.
    • EXCEPTION: Student presenters will be given free conference registration. While presenters will be able to attend conferences at a discounted rate, TNOTA will not directly reimburse or compensate speakers or cover travel/lodging expenses
  4. An email notification regarding acceptance of proposals will be sent by June 26, 2026.  Email will only be sent to the primary presenter listed on the proposal. Notifications that are not acknowledged by July 10, 2026 will result in a session being removed from the final program.
  5. Standard audiovisual equipment will be available for short course and workshop presentations. This will include LCD projector & screen and lectern with microphone.
  6. Presenters are expected to provide a session handout for their presentations.  These handouts will be accessible for registered attendees on the TNOTA website.
